Edmonton’s freeze-thaw cycles and rough road surfaces punish suspension and steering components season after season. Ball joints wear. Tie rod ends loosen. Struts lose their damping ability. The result is a vehicle that wanders, bounces, or pulls — which means longer stopping distances and less control when you need it most.
At AutoRx Repair Centres, our licensed auto mechanics and technicians inspect the full system — from control arms and sway bar links to power steering pumps and rack assemblies — so you get a clear diagnosis before any wrench turns. That diagnostic-first approach means you only pay for repairs your vehicle actually needs.

SIGNS YOUR SUSPENSION OR STEERING NEEDS ATTENTION
Catching problems early saves you money and keeps your vehicle safe. Watch for these warning signs:
Uneven tire wear — worn struts or misaligned components cause tires to wear on one edge, so you end up replacing them far sooner than expected.
Vehicle pulling to one side — a failing tie rod end or worn bushing can shift your alignment, which means constant steering correction and driver fatigue.
Clunking or knocking over bumps — loose ball joints or worn sway bar links create metal-on-metal contact, so small bumps feel much worse than they should.
Excessive body roll in turns — degraded struts or shocks can no longer control weight transfer, which means reduced grip and longer reaction times in emergency manoeuvres.
Steering wheel vibration — a worn steering rack or unbalanced components transmit vibrations directly to your hands, so highway driving becomes uncomfortable and tiring.
Ignoring any one of these symptoms accelerates wear on connected parts. A $200 tie rod replacement left unaddressed can escalate into a $1,500 steering rack job. Contact us today!

OUR CUSTOMER REVIEW
Read what our customers say about our services:
I had a great experience at AutoRx. I brought my WRX in for some suspension work (replacing the upper rear control arms). The repairs were recommended from Rally Subaru; however, I brought it to AutoRx because their prices were significantly lower than the dealership's. After inspecting my car the team at AutoRx said everything was fine and no work was needed. I went to pick up my car - happily expecting to pay for the time they spent inspecting it - however, they didn't charge me anything. That was really unexpected and greatly appreciated.

Also worth noting, they have a donor car. Unfortunately, it wasn't available when I dropped my car off however, Matt (Mechanic from AutoRx) kindly gave me a ride to work. The shop is clean and the staff is friendly and easy to deal with. Plus James (owner) is a Subaru guy if you need an alternative to the dealerships.
